How I discovered Bowen Therapy
A severe back problem was getting me down; Bowen reduced my discomfort almost immediately, helping me change my attitude and setting me on the path to recovery, both physical and mental. My experience compelled me to learn this amazing therapy and pass its benefits on to others.

My Training
I trained with the European College of Bowen Studies (ECBS) and have undertaken further training courses with them.
I am a qualified Nutritional Therapist, having studied for 3 years with the College of Naturopathic Medicine and I attend regular additional training. I believe you truly are what you eat, and see dietary advice complementing Bowen Therapy beautifully.
As well as individual Nutritional Therapy consultations, I run short 'Nutrition in a Nutshell' courses and regular one-off workshops on healthy eating. See http://www.foodworks4u.co.uk for more information.
I have always loved cooking and experimenting with food, and had a desire to run a restaurant. A weekly stall at the market led to Tina's Kitchen, which provided healthy low carb lunches on weekdays. This has now closed to allow more variability in my work. I published a recipe book based on the food served at Tina's Kitchen, and this is still available through my website here.
I have now trained as a personal trainer to enable me to run outdoor exercise sessions called Get Moving. For more information see www.tinadeubert.weebly.com
I managed the Lewes Farmers Market for four years and during that time wrote The Friendly Vegetable Book, which was written to give people ideas for increasing their consumption of fresh, local, seasonal vegetables. The book is no longer in print, but a pdf version is available on my nutrition website here. I would urge you to exchange all 'vegetable oil' mentioned in recipes with butter, olive oil, coconut oil or animal fat (in the light of current nutritional thinking).
In 1991 I was involved in the creation and organisation of Green Wheels Day in Lewes, which I went on to coordinate the following year, and have since organised and run three fund raising art exhibitions in Lewes.
I am married to Alan Chapman, a maths and science tutor, and the mother of 3 girls, now young women, so am well aware of the issues of feeding families well. They have all at some stage been vegetarian, as have I, so am experienced at adapting meals to cater for both meat eaters and vegetarians.
